LED Studio partners with Digital Media Technologies

Integrator-First isn't just a line we use, it's how we build the product roadmap: real project experience from the people specifying and installing our displays, fed straight back into design and engineering. It's also how we think about who we work with. So when the conversation with Digital Media Technologies (DMT) turned into something worth doing properly, it made sense to build it around the same principle.

DMT is a UK-based specialist in complex media systems integration, bringing media server technology and complex project expertise to large-scale digital display projects. Its CanvasPro media server combines real-time graphics, playback and content management for displays across retail, hospitality and entertainment, the same environments our LED technology serves. CanvasPro already powers landmark installations including Piccadilly Lights.

What the partnership actually means

It's straightforward, and deliberately non-exclusive on both sides. Where one of our clients needs a content management platform, we'll be recommending CanvasPro. Where one of DMT's clients needs LED display technology, they'll be looking to LED Studio. Neither of us is under any obligation to sell the other's product exclusively, but both of us have seen enough of the other's work to want to point people toward it.

CanvasPro is also being brought into our Experience Centre, with DMT's own team coming on-site to help install and configure it. DMT will have a dedicated presence in the space too, so anyone touring the Experience Centre, whether they're a customer, an integrator, or just curious, gets to see the display technology and the software layer running it side by side, properly integrated rather than bolted together for a demo.

Where this is headed: built-in, not bolted on

The near-term side of this partnership is about recommendation and the Experience Centre. The longer-term side is more ambitious. We’re working with DMT to explore how the technologies they’re developing could become part of future LED Studio products, starting with our all-in-one displays.

The idea is simple: rather than a display shipping as a blank canvas that still needs a separate content management system specified, configured and connected afterward, it would ship with the technology on board, ready to go. From there, it becomes a licensing conversation rather than an integration project. For integrators, that means less time spent stitching hardware and software together on-site, and a product that's genuinely ready to run from the moment it's installed.

This is still early, it's a direction we're actively working toward with DMT rather than something shipping today, and we'll share more detail as the product work progresses.

Why it matters for integrators

If you’re specifying LED displays for a client, this partnership brings together LED Studio’s display engineering expertise and DMT’s experience delivering media systems for landmark installations such as Piccadilly Lights. With CanvasPro at the heart of the solution, you can draw on both teams’ expertise to get the best from the technology.

This is the start of the relationship, not the whole of it. Expect to see more from LED Studio and DMT together over the coming months, including at the Experience Centre itself.
